Dangerous Takeoff
This one shows a pair of fokker D.XXI taking off from Ijpenburg airfield on May 10th, 1940, while under attack by Luftwaffe He-111s.

Despite being outnumbered enormously, the dutch fighters did ok for themselves that day shooting down quite a few german aircraft that outclassed them with much more heavy armament and higher speed.

A lot were destroyed when running out of ammo and fuel, forcing them to land on beaches or airfields where they were shot up.
