Superb work Eugene - it looks like your subjects will fill an apparent gap in the WW II coverage i.e Russian aircraft prominent in the paintings.
Look forward to seeing more - any modern jets ?

Wow, Eugene, your work is very well done! I really like your ME-109's. Do you self-publish or do you work for a publisher? Cool

The LA and the 109 passing head to head is the one I like most......shame the 109 is not burning Very Happy This print shows how good the Russian Aircraft can look, when viewed from the right angle.

These are very good and I like the paint rich look of them. The aircraft and clouds all look very well done, and blend together to make a good print. I'm very impressed.

I was surprised that they were not more anti German. I was expecting them to be very patriotic. However, they seem very politically balanced and I would not be able to guess at the nationality of the painter if I did not already know it.

Do you get the prints signed by veteran pilots ?

Eugene,

Very cool paintings! Your paintings can certainly stand on their artistic merit alone. I love the MiG-3's!

Many aviation art collectors appreciate pilot signatures added to prints. It seems to me there's quite a bit of pent up demand for Soviet pilot signatures. Is that a path you have considered? It's a niche you might be well-positioned to fill.

Thanks.
I was going to edit Limited Edition Print with La-5FN$Bf-109 with signatures of Soviet Russia WWII ace Vitaly Popkov - with 41 aerial victories - his La-5FN was painted in "above" artwork and German ace Gunther Rall - with 275 victories. I gave a telephone talk with Popkov and, through my consultant, with Rall (when He was still alive). Unfortunately I found no understanding of Russian editors because there is no Limited Edition Print Industry in Russia at present time.

Fantastic Paintings! Love the La-5FN. I have been wanting to paint one for a while, yours has inspired me. It is good to hear Mr. Popkov is still with us. Bob

There is my artwork with Spitfire V. This aircraft undoubtedly one of the favourite for aviation artists.

Eugene1,

Those are some wonderful Spitfires!

However, you are one of the very few who documents the air war on the eastern front from the Soviet perspective, while there are literally hundreds of artists churning out RAF, Luftwaffe, USAAF art. Please keep your primary focus on the Soviet perspective. The aviation art world will be much richer for it.

My artwork with Spitfire Vs is my only work about air war on the Wesrern Front. My main theme for present time is the Eastern front. Nevertheless I'm going to make e few paintings about WW1-period. Below is my rough sketch of Camels (Work In Progress). Semi-transparent inscription means "SKETCH oil".
